Race Rules
On Tuesday, October 6th the FLR Tuesday Fixed Series kicks off the 3rd season of 2009 at the Daytona Super Speedway for the Pepsi 175.
Do not launch your game via the leverage client. Instead, create a shortcut to the ARCA.exe and launch the game directly. Rumor has it, that even just one person running their game via the leverage client can cause lag issues for them and other drivers in the server.
Please read the important information below to avoid mismatches:
Step 1: If you don't already have it,
Download and install the Car File Manager ("CFM") to your active ARCA 08 game folder (default is C:\Program Files\ARCA 08\).
Step 2: Connect to the
FLR Friday Pro League server and click the top "Sync" button to download and install all league cars prior to entering the race server.
Step 3: If you don't already have it,
Download and install our custom rFm files (Updated 6/25/09) This is an auto-installer, just make to point the installer to your ARCA 08 folder if it doesn't find it automatically. This will install two shortcuts to batch files that you will need to use before FLR races (see step 4 below).
Step 4: Double-click on the flr.bat shortcut created during step 3. A black window will open, which if all worked as it should, will say:
1 File(s) copied... You're now ready for some super Hoser racing at FLR Hoser! ;-)... Press any key to continue.... If it does not say 1 File(s) copied, then it did not work. Contact Lance or join teamspeak before the race for assistance if this does not work for you.
Please do everyone a favor and follow the steps above ASAP! Do not wait until the last minute on race night to do this. After you have done this, take a look under your ..\Vehicles\ARCA directory. You should now see a FLR folder. If you do not have a FLR folder, something didn't work right. Send me a message if you have any problems well before the race starts tonight and I'll help you.
If you join the server on race night and have not followed the steps above, we will not hold the race up for you to do so.
It should be a lot of fun Friday guys! We had a great turnout last week and it should be another great turnout this Friday.
Cya Then!
